Chiropractic

Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle manual therapy that helps release restrictions and tension directly from the nervous system. By applying highly attuned, gentle touch, the therapist facilitates a very deep state of relaxation, where the body's inherent wisdom wakes up, and effectively and safely starts moving towards a greater state of health. Physiologically, this often includes a softening of tight tissue, enhanced flow of the cerebrospinal fluid, release of restrictions in the cranium, and through the spine. Experientially, these releases often lead to reduction or elimination of pain and other symptoms, improved sleep, a palpable relief of long-held stress, and general improvement in sense of wellbeing. Emotionally and mentally, the client may feel lighter, happier, more focused and present, more connected to self, and experience release of stagnant emotions, including old trauma, grief, and a habituated fight-flight-freeze response. Craniosacral therapy is completely non-invasive, and is safe for all stages of life, including infancy, and is a great choice for pregnancy and postpartum support.

Pilates
Pilates is a system of exercises that strengthens your core muscles, builds global muscle strength, challenges flexibly and helps rebuild neuropathways that relate to coordination, balance and proprioception (your brains sense of where your body is in space). Pilates is the perfect adjunct to chiropractic care or any other sport or exercise program. It addresses any patterns of dysfunctional movement that may be creating ongoing alignment or posture issues. Pilates helps to stabilize the ligaments around the pelvis and spine allowing for adjustments to hold longer and helping to eliminate chronic back pain. Because Pilates is a mind body exercise it also builds cognitive awareness around body mechanics even when you are not doing Pilates. This stability and awareness can help to heal old injuries and prevent new ones from happening.
Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine determines how and why illness occurs and restores health by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual.
